What are you reading?I have at least three piles of books that I'm simultaneously reading from; one for fashion, art and design, one for literature and one for computer subjects. Woolgathering by Patti Smith was a recent gift. I absolutely love this little book. I'm also reading Dickens for a project I'm working on. The internet and web design are my current obsessions, too, so I'm going through the A Book Apart collection, which is really good.

Last film you saw and your verdict?I recently watched Herb Dorothy, a documentary about a couple in New York who have been collecting art since the 1960s – over 4,000 masterpieces in a tiny apartment, an incredible story!

When you fall into a YouTube hole, what's the general subject matter of the videos you're watching?I've become a Ted Talk fanatic. I don't have time or money to go back to college at the moment, so I've made it my mission to learn as much as I can about random subjects this year. YouTube is great for self-directed education, for free. I watch at least one a day. If I want to wind my dog up, I'll put on YouTube dog-related videos too. It usually drives him crazy.

What track should we listen to right now?Anything from James Vincent McMorrow.

Which box set or TV series do you have on the go?We watch very little TV at home. If we do it's usually documentaries. Anything about travel, food or human behaviour.

Last gig you went to and your verdict?The closest thing to a gig I've been to this year was Offset2012. Verdict? I can't wait for next year – such an inspiring line-up. Excellent organisation. Great value for money. I also went to Dublin Dance Festival and watched Klaus Obermaier, which was pretty amazing.
